A full annual or initial health assessment for a child focuses on identifying the parent’s and child’s top concerns, reviewing developmental milestones, growth parameters, and medical history, and performing a comprehensive physical exam. Preventative care (safety guidance/age-appropriate screenings) are updated. Anticipatory guidance is provided to support healthy growth and development. A care plan is then created in collaboration with the family to address current needs, promote wellness, and establish follow-up for ongoing care.
